Here are the golf scoring rules for 2010:
"Hole in One" (a 384 on a d384, only in Round 1) = +5 points (this would immediately end that game)
Winning in 3 rounds = +3 points
Winning in 4 rounds = +2 points
Winning in 5 rounds = +1 point
Winning in 6+ rounds = ZERO
Making it to 1,000 or higher = +1 point
Reaching exactly 1,000 = +n points*
In the event of a tie, both players receive equal points.
*n = The round # you are in, when 1,000 is reached.
- Any one player may play in up to 3 games per day (a 'day' is based GMT time of the game)
- Games may be run by anyone familiar enough with the rules.
- At the conclusion of each game, the ref will PM to me the final scores (after applying handicaps), player names and the number of the final round to me.
- Each day, I will go through the previous day's worth of PMs and update the score boards (so they may be up to 1 day behind).
- If I doubt a game actually happened, I will check with the other players who 'played' without the ref's knowledge, or check IRC logs.
- Your handicap is only applied during the first round of each game. Presently, your handicap is equal to your current score, or your score from 2009, whichever is greater. Thus, with a high enough score, it is possible to have a negative result, starting off the game.
- If your handicap appears in red, then it is equal to your score last year. If it appears in green, then you have surpassed your score from 2009, and your handicap equals your score this year.
- Current score appears to the left, in blue.
